Warranty

There is a 30 day return policy and a lifetime warranty on all our products. The lifetime warranty covers any mechanical defect due to manufacturing failure.

Hours of Operation

We don’t have a store and operate mainly through the internet. As a manufacturer our shop is open from 9 to 5 Mon – Fri. Generally, when I get an email, I get back right away if I can. I don’t have time to answer the phone so none is given on this website. I generally try to answer all emails, but sometimes that doesn’t happen, don’t take it personally. I answer emails outside of normal business hours, weekends, up to about 11pm if I can. That’s gotta count for something.

Shipments

All retail shipments are done by USPS (United States Post Office) First Class Mail. Your order may not ship out as soon as you order it but as soon as I can get to it, usually within 5 days of receipt of payment. Your shipment will have a tracking number if you pay by PAYPAL because they offer it as a convenience. You must have a confirmed address to get a tracking number. We are not respinsible for delivery after the USPS has accepted the package and it is in their system. Lost packages will have to be dealt with by the USPS.

Undeliverable Packages

Packages that are returned to us as refused or undeliverable are issued a full refund minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping costs, except where we ask that the customer do so. We are unable to re-ship orders that are returned to us as undeliverable until we get a correct address. Additional shipping charges will apply if we reship due to an error on your part. If the Post Office can’t find your address, you need to talk with them. If they have delivered mail to your house before there should be no problems. We ship with full confidence that the address given is accessible and easily found by the shipping company.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of placing the order or before the order ships. If a cancellation is placed within 24 hours and the order has not shipped, a refund will be issued by which method the order was originally charged. CDM Gear reserves the right to cancel any order at any time if company sees fit.

All refunds will be processed within 7 to 14 days.

If a cancellation is placed after the order ships, it is up to the customer to put “Refuse” on the package. Once the refused package is received to us, a full refund will be processed (less shipping, handling and restocking fee) within 7 days of receipt of the refused package. A restocking fee of 20% will be deducted from your refund.

Returns

At any time within 30 days you can get a complete refund (less shipping and handling). After 30 days, defective items will be replaced. Once a return is received the refund process will take 7 to 14 business days. All refunds will be processed in the manner in which you were originally charged. If the original method of payment has been closed or cancelled we will need valid proof in order to process a refund in an alternative form. You have 30 days from the date of the original purchase to return the product to receive your refund. Any return received after the 30 day time limit will not be processed. To ensure that your product is not lost or damaged, we strongly recommend sending the product certified mail with a tracking number. If we do not receive the product back and the customer does not have proof that the product was returned we cannot issue a refund. Valid proof of returning a product includes: delivery confirmation via USPS or “refused” packages in original box/label that can be tracked back to CDM Gear. We are not responsible for lost, missing or slow mail, we will honor any package that is postmarked for 30 days after the purchase of the product or before. Returned product must be undamaged and be accompanied by all wrenches and screws by the customer unless it is a failure of the product due to defect.

Personal Checks and Money Orders

All checks are held for 10 business days. Orders placed with a check will be held for 10 business days. Once 10 business days is complete and check has cleared, the order will be released and shipped. All returned check will be charged a $25 USD return check fee. Counter checks will not be accepted. USPS Money Orders are prefered and your items will be shipped immediately. Other types of Money Orders need to clear the financial institution before shipment will take place.

We do collect some technical information when you visit to make your visit seamless. The section below explains how we handle and collect technical information when you visit our website. Information Collected and Stored Automatically. When you browse or read pages we automatically gather and store certain technical information about your visit. This information never identifies who you are. The information we collect and store about your visit includes the Internet domain (for example, “yourisp.com” if you use a private Internet access account, or “yourschool.edu” if you connect from a university’s domain) and IP address (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web) from which you access our website; The type of browser (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer) and operating system (Windows, Unix) used to access our site; The date and time you access our site; What site you came from, if applicable; The pages you visit; and If you linked to the CDMgear.com. website from another website, the address of that website. This information is only used to help us make the site more useful for you. With this data we learn about the number of visitors to our site and the types of technology our visitors use. We never track or record information about individuals and their visits.

Cookies

When you visit some websites, their webservers generate pieces of information known as cookies. Some cookies collect personal information to recognize your computer in the future. This is not the case at CDMgear, where we only use non-persistent cookies or “per-session cookies.” These cookies do not collect personal information on users and they are erased as soon as you leave our website. Per-session cookies serve technical purposes like providing seamless navigation through CDMgear. These cookies do not permanently record data and they are not stored on your computer’s hard drive. CDMgear cookies are stored in memory and are only available during an active browser session. Again, once you close your browser, the cookie disappears.

If You Send Us Personal Information

If you choose to provide us with personal information — like filling out a Contact Us form with personal information and submitting it to us through the website — we use that information to respond to your message and to help us get you the information you have requested. We do not share the information you give us with anyone or any other company.

Site Security

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, we employ commercial software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.

Prohibitions

CDM Gear will not knowingly link to any website that exhibits hate, bias or discrimination. Furthermore, we reserve the right to deny or remove any link that contains misleading information or unsubstantiated claims, or is determined to be in conflict with CDMgear’s mission or policies.

The information posted on the CDMgear website includes hypertext links or pointers to information created and maintained by other public and/or private organizations. CDMgear provides these links and pointers solely for our users’ information and convenience.
